As content creators and entrepreneurs, we are always looking for ways to grow our brand and increase our audience. One way to do this is by making the most of our travel experiences. Whether it's a vacation or a business trip, there are plenty of opportunities to promote your brand and connect with potential customers or clients. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas with my wife, Suzu, and we used our time there to continue growing our podcast, "LIFE OF A BOSS The Podcast". Here are some tips based on our experience that you can use to build your brand while on vacation.

Take advantage of your surroundings

When you're traveling to a new place, take advantage of your surroundings. Take photos and videos with your phone or camera that showcase your brand and your experience. Share these on your social media accounts with relevant hashtags and tags. If you're staying in a hotel or vacation rental, use the space creatively to showcase your brand. We turned our suite at the Westgate Resorts into an awesome podcast studio, which not only made for a great recording space, but also provided a unique and eye-catching backdrop for our photos and videos.

Collaborate with local entrepreneurs

When you're traveling, look for opportunities to collaborate with local entrepreneurs. Reach out to people in your niche or industry who are based in the area and see if they would be interested in collaborating on a project or appearing on your podcast. We conducted two interviews with Las Vegas "Bosses" who are entrepreneurs and artists living their definition of success. Not only did these interviews provide valuable content for our podcast, but they also helped us connect with other entrepreneurs in the area and build relationships that could be beneficial for future collaborations.

Use local resources

Take advantage of local resources to help you create high-quality content. We worked with a local photographer to do two professional photoshoots, which not only provided us with beautiful photos for our social media and website, but also helped us connect with a local professional who we may be able to work with again in the future. We also brought along some equipment that helped us get high-quality recording, such as the Rodecaster Pro made by Rode and the Mevo Start by Mevo.

Be resourceful and creative

Finally, be resourceful and creative in finding ways to promote your brand while on vacation. We distributed fliers and business cards at local businesses and events, went live on social media to showcase our experience and provide behind-the-scenes glimpses of our podcast recording process, and even created custom merchandise featuring our podcast logo to wear and give away.

All that being said, traveling provides a unique opportunity for just about any business owner, content creator, or entrepreneur to build their brand and connect with potential customers or clients. By taking advantage of your surroundings, collaborating with local entrepreneurs, using local resources, and being resourceful and creative, you can turn your vacation or business trip to just about anywhere into a valuable opportunity for your brand.
